The challenge of bringing a video to life without stealing the scene. I developed the lower thirds and transitions package for Village Resort’s YouTube channel. The goal was to create elements that speak to the audience and to the hotel’s energy, while staying light enough not to clutter the edit.
The hosts
The people who make the fun happen get their name on screen. The hosts’ lower third bursts in with yellow and bold type, matching the energy of the activities, and leaves without competing with the scene.
Little friends
Kids are the stars of the channel. Each participant gets a card with photo, name and age, joined by the Turma do Bê characters, so they recognize themselves and want to watch the video again.
Teams & scoreboard
During the games, each team gets its own tag and the scoreboard drops in at the top with the Village seal in the middle. Viewers follow the competition without any narration.
Subscribe
The call to action had to be friendly, not intrusive. The character pops in at the top, the button turns into "subscribed" and everything is gone in a few seconds, without covering what’s happening in the video.
Transitions
To change scenes, Pipoca, the dog mascot, pops in and takes the cut with him. The star with the yellow drip closes the bigger blocks. Transitions with personality that reinforce the brand at every change of topic.
System
Simple, well-executed design informs and reinforces the brand throughout the whole video: hosts, little friends, game scoreboard, teams and CTA, all part of the same visual family.
